Youth visiting hospital
Hospital Visits
The nature of hospital ministry requires an older student, typically junior or senior high. A free gift is the door opener – a stuffed toy, a book or some candy. A song sung softly accompanied by an acoustic guitar can enhance the visit. Here the students get one on one with suffering children and their families. The need for prayer ignites compassion in the teens and encouragement to hurting families.

Work Projects
Our work projects build self esteem and character. The projects are usually beyond the skills and understanding of the kids but with constant supervision they are encouraged that they can do it! Sorting canned goods, mowing lawns, building a deck, cleaning the warehouse, even pressure washing a building are all projects kids have done at our facility.

Book Bash
When a local school district decides to discard used library books, they donate them to us. These books provide a service project for everyone to get involved. Some groups will help us glean through the thousands of books one by one and separate the books — inappropriate and damaged ones from the good ones.
